Rules The Game The game consists of a piece set kept in a bag, a board and two players (Human or otherwise); one called 'ORDER' and the other 'CHAOS'. ORDER tries to form symmetrical patterns of touching coloured counters (horizontally or vertically). CHAOS tries to prevent such order. Order of Play CHOAS plays first, in each turn a random piece is selected from the bag and CHAOS places it on any chosen vacant square. ORDER is then allowed to slide ANY single counter on the board any distance in a straight line (horizontally or vertically) without jumping another piece, regardless of which counter was placed last. ORDER may also effectively 'pass' a turn if necessary, this can be done by selecting a piece then placing it back in its current square (So not moving the piece either horizontally or vertically). Note that CHAOS should try to block slides leading to symmetrical runs. This sequence of CHAOS play then ORDER play is repeated until all 49 counters complete the board. When the board is full ORDER scores (see scoring) for that round (not CHAOS). The roles are then reversed and the player with the highest score after the two rounds is the winner. |
